Welcome to the 2027 Nebraska Middle School VEX V5 Robotics Competition State Championship!

We are looking forward to welcoming the best VEX V5 Robotics Competition teams in the state of Nebraska for this championship event! Qualified teams should be sure to register prior to the deadline and make sure that payment for registration fees has been processed.

We are excited to introduce GreenState: Millard Activity Facility in Omaha, Nebraska!

We are working with the facilities event staff to plan a fantastic event!

Admission to the Activity Center is FREE and there is NO CHARGE for parking.

Competition Preparation:

This event is sure to be a fast-paced and exciting event. All teams should come prepared for competition. Here are a few steps that every team should take to ensure that they are prepared.

1. Review the rules, the code of conduct, and run through the inspection checklist.

2. Check the VEX V5 Official Q & A for official rule updates and changes or the VEX Forum for relevant discussion boards.

3. Carefully read all of the information contained in this tournament posting

4. Review the descriptions and criteria for the awards that are being given during the tournament.

5. Prep for your interviews with the judges. Check the awards tab to see what awards will be given during the tournament.

6. Ensure that you have the latest version of firmware.

Qualifying Criteria:

Please refer to the Global Robotics Library to review the criteria that both teams and events must meet for qualification into 2026-2027 Event Region Championship events, such as the Nebraska State Championship, as well as the World Championship.

Judging Format

Judging Format Digital Engineering Notebook Submissions / In Person Team Interviews: Team interviews will be conducted in-person at the event. Engineering notebooks will be submitted digitally for evaluation via a link found within the "My Account" panel of the team contact. The submission deadline will scheduled 5 days ahead of the event date. Bring the Engineeiring Notebook for Judging Reference if you'd like!

Volunteer Volunteers are an important part of every event and we acknowledge that these events would be impossible without them.
